At YWAM Salem each hospitality room is themed as a country.
Each country is one served with mission and prayer by this YWAM base.
Did you guess my country yet? Azerbaijan. Another room was North Korea.
I was so struck by these friends' commitment to welcoming strangers.
Any organisation that names a building 'Harvest' has my attention.
The sign reads: 'Mission Mill Museum'. I had about 2 minutes inside while waiting for my connection from Salem to Portland. To be truthful, most people would have just waited for the connection; me, I had to go-a-wandering. That whistlestop tour was typical of my whole eight day West Coast trip. Amazingly though, it never felt rushed.
Another gold rush / mission town, typical of the west coast, I believe.
